"We just knew we had to Take a Chance on them."
Sixteen year old Bernie and Rusty Roy, arrived at the Neenah Animal Shelter (NAS) in November 2020. They just lost their person and now found themselves homeless. The idea of separating them was unthinkable and yet we also know how hard it is to adopt one senior cat, much less a bonded pair.
We just knew we had to Take a Chance on them.
Fate intervened. Shortly after their arrival Jan, a former NAS adopter and supporter, reached out. Jan came to the shelter prepared to be a temporary foster. She took one look at Rusty and Bernie and said "I've changed my mind about fostering. These two brothers deserve to stay together. We'll find a way to make it work. I will adopt them."
The Neenah Animal Shelter's #GivingTuesday theme is #TakeAChanceOnMe because that's what we are really good at; taking a chance on dogs and cats who may otherwise not have a chance at a forever home. Please consider joining us in the effort to Take a Chance on them all through a financial donation before or on GivingTuesday. We can't do this alone!
Please, can we count on your support as we stay true to our LifeFirst™ Philosophy to never euthanize because of lack of space or funding?
